Membership Categories
Active Membership Individuals who are graduates of a veterinary technology program which has been certified and accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association and individuals certified as qualified veterinary technicians by the Pennsylvania State Board of Veterinary Medicine are welcome to become Active Members. Active Members must have an active license with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and be in compliance with all requirements for licensure with the State. Associate Membership All individuals who desire membership and are interested in supporting and promoting the objectives and activities of the Association and the veterinary technology profession, but who are unable to qualify as Active Members, are welcome to become Associate Members. This includes veterinary assistants, practice managers, kennel staff, and veterinarians. Click here to download the membership application. Student Membership Dues-free membership is offered to all veterinary technology students who are enrolled in American Veterinary Medical Association-accredited programs in Pennsylvania. If you have a hospital that is renewing 5 or more Active Members or 5 or more Associate Members, you may renew them all at once for a discounted rate.
